Operation

Shipping Rate Maintenance
For each Shipping Code that you want to assess percentage of total or minimum rate, you will need to select the calculation type ‘Amount.’ Specify the minimum freight in the Base Rate field and the percentage of the order total in the Shipping Rate Header UDF noted in Setup.

Sales Order and Invoice Entry
When the Shipping Code’s calculation method is ‘Amount’ and the Freight Percentage UDF has a non-zero value, the Freight field will be populated with the greater of the following:

Shipping Code’s Base Amount
or
Order Total (taxable amount + non-taxable amount – discount amount) * Freight Percentage UDF

During Invoice Data Entry, the Invoice total will be used in the calculation.

All calculated amounts can be overridden.

What’s New

With the 09-27-07 release:

  • Converted to Business Framework.
  • Now uses the Sales Order Shipping Header UDF instead of a CM-1005 UDF for freight percentage.
