Server Installation

The following section will provide installation instructions and guidelines for proper configuration of the web service. These instructions can be modified depending on client configuration and internal procedures.


Create a service account

Create a service account used by the blyBizConnect web service to access MAS 1. For a non-domain server, start Computer Management via the Administrative Tools.

2. Once Computer Management opens, expand the System Tools and Local Users and Groups sections. Right click on the Users folder and select New User.

3. Create a username, add the password, and adjust the options as shown below so the account will not be required to change the password. Click Create to save the account.

4. Double click on the newly created account to bring up the properties window and select the Member Of tab.

5. Click the Add button and add the account to the Administrators and IIS_WPG groups on the member of tab.

a. The administrators group gives the web service permission to access and launch the MAS Framework via Distributed COM
b. The IIS_WPG group will allow the web service to run in a custom web application pool to limit security exposure.
c. NOTE: If this server is Windows 7, 2008 or more recent, the IIS_WPG group will not exist. Use the IIS_IUSRS group in its place.


Configure IIS

Create an application pool in IIS to run the patient web service

1. From within the Computer Management console, expand the Services and Applications section and the Internet Information Services section. Right click on Application Pools and select New->Application Pool.

2. Give the new Application Pool a name and keep the following settings as shown below.

3. Once the application pool has been created, right click on it and select properties.

4. Select the Identity tab and change the account to the newly created account from Step 3 in Create a service account. Be sure to type in the password that was set with the newly created account.

Install blyBizConnect

1. Run the blyBizConnect Server.msi installation program.

a. When configuring the installation address during the setup process, be sure to select the newly created application pool in step 2 of Configure IIS. The screenshot below is using the Default Web Site and a virtual directory called blyBizConnect.

2. Verify configuration of the MAS settings for the web service.

a. Using Notepad or some other text editor, open the web.config file for the web service. Based on standard configurations as listed in the steps above, it should be located in the c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\blyBizConnect folder.

3. Test the web service.

a. If the same Default Web Site and Virtual directory specified in Step 1 of Install blyBizConnect were used, then you should be able to navigate to the following URL on the same server and see the web service.
i. http://127.0.0.1/blyBizConnect/ClientService.svc
b. External access to the web service will need to be configured with a public IP address, DNS name, and any necessary firewall configurations.

4. Management of the Kiosks, Picklists, and Devices can be done via a web page.

Create Sage UserLogin.dfl file

Create a blank text file called UserLogin.dfl in C:\Documents and Setting\Default User\Application Data\Sage Software\Sage MAS 500\

Kiosk Installation

The following section will provide installation instructions and guidelines for proper configuration of the Kiosk.

Install Kiosk

1. Run the blyBizConnect Kiosk.msi installation program.

2. Accept the agreement, default program folder and finish the installation.

3. Update the Kiosk configuration file.

a. Using Notepad or some other text editor, open the QuickShipKiosk.exe.config file. Based on standard configurations as listed in the steps above, it should be located in the c:\Program Files\Blytheco\Blytheco QuickShip Kiosk folder.
b. Set the LoggingDirectory to a location on your server for text logging.
c. Set the KioskID based on the barcode on the Kiosk.
d. Change the blyBizConnect_EndPoint IP address to be that of the blyBizConnect server. NOTE: This may not be the address of the MAS server.

4. Start the QuickShipKiosk program from the Start Menu.

5. On the Status screen, click on the Settings Gear to configure the Kiosk with the blyBizConnect Server.

6. Configure the Printers and correct IP address of the Kiosk machine and save the settings. This will upload the Kiosk information to the blyBizConnect server.

7. Click close and leave the Status window open to receive new Picklists from a handheld.
